Interpreters United was founded in 1993 as Yakima Valley Interpreting Service. The agency made its beginning with only two interpreters and only provided Spanish-English/English-Spanish. By the Fall of 1994 the agency was working with 19 interpreters, still in Spanish. In February of 1995 Yakima Valley Interpreting Service expanded its coverage area and changed its name to Interpreters United. Then in mid 1999 Interpreters United combined with a new company and is now a Division of Cascade Interpreting Service, LLC
Currently we work with many different interpreters and translators. We can provide services in many languages. The most common we are requested to provide are Spanish, Russian, French, and German. We can provide for other languages on a need basis. In addition, we work with interpreters and translators in Canada, Mexico and Europe.
We introduced our first Internet precence in the Spring of 1996.
